Armadillos have moved into North Alabama and Tennessee. Armadillos like to dig and their primary food sources can often be found near homes in gardens or loose lawns. Armadillos are strong digging animals and borrow very effectively and very quickly in search of food as well as for protection. Armadillos will dig a burrow to raise their young, and armadillos will also dig escape holes in their territory to avoid danger when threatened. They also dig for food, primarily eating earth worms and grubs. If you have armadillos digging up your yard or flower bed give Tennessee Valley Wildlife Control a call.

Coyote Removal
Coyote populations are on a steady increase across North America. In rural areas coyotes are extremely shy and avoid contact with humans. In urban and suburban areas, coyotes can grow accustomed to buildings and human activity and associate them with a dependable food source. A coyote will eat anything that presents itself as a meal. Coyotes will eat house cats, small dogs, livestock, deer and turkey. We specialize in coyote trapping, coyote control, and coyote management..
Fox Removal
Foxes will not cause real damage to your home, but they will gladly move in under your shed or deck to raise their pups. Sometimes fox will dine on your leftovers and pet food. Foxes can spread distemper, rabies and mange to domestic pets. You do not want this type of wild animal around your home if you have small children or pets - fox are highly unpredictable.
Groundhog Removal
Groundhogs or woodchucks can cause more damage to the structure of a home than almost any other animal. Groundhogs can collapse small decks, areas of concrete, and some small sheds because of their elaborate tunneling systems. Groundhogs are vegetarians and they can decimate a garden while feeding during the summer and fall. Groundhogs are fond of garden beans, peas, herbs, strawberries, pansies, and impatiens. In an agricultural area the groundhogs can do considerable damage to crops. Groundhogs love of tender, succulent plants can be the destruction of landscaping for private homeowners and businesses. A true hibernator, groundhogs spend the entire winter 4 or more feet below ground. It is estimated that a groundhog moves about 700 lbs. of dirt when digging his den. Call Tennessee Valley Wildlife Control to live trap the nuisance groundhog and relocate him to a new home.
Opossum Removal
Possums can become a nuisance when they take up residence in your attic or your crawl space. Possums will do significant damage in your attic and can be very expensive if they are not removed. Possums can destroy your air conditioning duct work, rip apart electrical wiring, and ruin the dry wall. Possums leave their feces and urine all over the insulation which produces a strong and sometimes unbearable smell. Possum removal is essential to prevent costly damage in the attic. Call us to live trap your unwanted possums.
Raccoon Removal
Raccoons have adapted very well to living in close contact with humans. Raccoons are strong and can easily break blades out of louver vents and tear shingles off a roof to gain access to an attic. They can also dismantle faulty chimney caps and tear off chimney screens. Once inside an attic or chimney, raccoons will create a nesting area and designate a spot to be their toilet, raccoons always defecate and urinate in the same spot. This can cause a terrible odor as it soaks into the insulation, sheet rock or sealing tiles. Raccoons are also destructive by nature and will often tear apart insulation and wiring and rip shingles off the roof for no apparent reason. A raccoon is a dangerous animal to have living in your attic or chimney. Raccoons carry diseases, damage your home and make lots of noise . Tennessee Valley Wildlife Control can live trap your problem raccoons and raccoon proof your home to keep the raccoons out.
Rattlesnake Removal
Rattlesnakes are easily identifiable by their broad, triangular heads, narrow necks, relatively heavy bodies and rattle on the tail, or blunt tails if the rattles are missing. Baby rattlers can be as dangerous as adults. Rattlesnakes should not be confused with harmless gopher snakes, which are beneficial to humans as vermin catchers. Rattlesnakes will purposely attack only those animals smaller than themselves, such as rodents, unless they are frightened by noise, vibrations or certain odors. They are terrified by humans and would rather run than fight if possible. Like all snakes, the body temperature of the rattlesnake depends on the air temperature, so you would be more likely to encounter a rattlesnake in the open during the warmest hours of a spring day and during the cooler hours of a summer day. We are professional rattlesnake wranglers and love catching rattlesnakes, give us a call to remove any unwanted rattlesnakes.
Skunk Removal
Do you have a skunk under your home or a skunk under your deck? Skunks are known for the horrible odor they emit when injured, frightened or mating. Skunks tear off foundation vent screens or dig directly under the foundation and up the other side to live in the under floor area. Once a skunk enter the under floor they can make a nesting site in a number of locations. I have found them using the insulation tacked below the floor to make a sort of hammock, crawling up the pipes to live in the hollow area around the tub, digging a burrow in the ground or just sleeping on a layer of bedding material right on the ground. Skunks can chew on electrical wires and by this and their bringing in grass and leaf material for bedding, a fire can occur in the structure. Skunks can also do a great deal of damage to air ducts.
Skunks will dig holes in your yard, tear up flower bead and skunks will eat garden produce. Skunk lawn damage can be recognized as many small holes the size of a quarter to a half dollar, which looks unsightly on golf courses and residential lawns. Skunks contain parasites, diseases and pose a health risk. Tennessee Valley Wildlife Control can set skunk traps and do odorless skunk removal then seal the skunk’s entry point.
Snake Removal
People often encounter snakes because their property provides a good habitat for snakes to hide and hunt. Snakes are able to enter homes through the crawl space and gain access into the home through pipes that come up through the floor. Most snakes will choose to run when encountered, but when startled the snake goes into defense mode and will protect itself. Bites can be avoided by using common sense. Many snakes give a warning before a strike, but not always. Rattlesnakes can strike in 1/25 of a second and half their body length. Call Tennessee Valley Wildlife Control to remove any unwanted snakes from your property. We are professional rattlesnake wranglers and love catching rattlesnakes, give us a call to remove any unwanted rattlesnakes.
